In 2024, PANN Foundation will reopen their grant fund under the name 'Tim Meijerink Fund'. Tim (1986-2023) was a volunteer at PANN for many years and a welcome guest in the Utrecht queer nightlife scene. At PANN, he worked for various teams and in the last few years, most will have seen him shining on stage as a DJ. Not only did he manage to connect the audience with his danceable disco records, but also behind the
screens, Tim was a real bridge-builder in the community and dedicated himself to connecting different Utrecht initiatives. For example, he was working on the master's degree in Community Development at HU and investigating how Utrecht Pride could create an even wider
could create support within and outside the community.
At March 2023, he died suddenly. This was a huge blow to the foundation and to everyone around him. His loss has left a hole in the Utrecht LGBTQIA+ community, and we would like PANN to continue his work and inspiration. By
naming the grant fund after Tim and taking his vision into account in the terms and conditions, PANN aims to honour its mission.
This is why the Tim Meijerink Fund opens from 2024 for initiatives supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. We especially welcome initiatives from marginalised groups within this community and initiatives that actively connect different (sub)groups within the LGBTQIA+ community.
